Install EasySIGN without the installation wizard

This article is for IT administrators and technical users who need to install EasySIGN without displaying the standard installation wizard.

Summary

EasySIGN can be installed without displaying the installation wizard by using:

• SetupNoWizard.exe

• SILENTSETUP.DSS

The installation settings are read from the SILENTSETUP.DSS file. This allows administrators to predefine installation options before starting the setup.

1. When to use this installation method

Installation without the wizard can be useful when:

• EasySIGN must be installed with predefined settings.

• An administrator is preparing a repeatable installation process.

• The normal installation wizard should not be displayed.

• EasySIGN is being prepared for installation on multiple managed computers.

• Installation settings such as language, installation path, user name, company name, or shortcuts must be specified in advance.

Administrators may use this method as part of their own software deployment process after testing it in their environment.

This article does not provide vendor-specific endpoint management or Intune deployment instructions.

2. Download the installation guide

3. Basic preparation steps

1. Obtain the required EasySIGN installation file:

   • EasySIGN_64.exe, or
   • EasySIGN_32.exe

2. Extract the installation file to a separate folder.

3. Confirm that the extracted folder contains:

   • SetupNoWizard.exe
   • Setup.exe
   • SILENTSETUP.DSS

4. Open SILENTSETUP.DSS in a text editor such as Notepad.
5. Configure the required installation commands.
6. Run SetupNoWizard.exe.

SetupNoWizard.exe starts Setup.exe without displaying the installation wizard. The installation settings are read from SILENTSETUP.DSS.

4. Enable or disable commands

Commands in SILENTSETUP.DSS can be enabled or disabled.

• A command beginning with // is disabled.

• Remove // from the beginning of the command to enable it.

• Some commands require an additional value, such as a language, path, user name, company name, or registry filename.

Review the explanations included in the file before enabling a command.

5. SILENTSETUP.DSS command overview

The attached PDF contains the complete syntax and additional details for each command.

6. Important notes for administrators

• Test the installation on one suitable computer before using it more widely.

• Use the EasySIGN 32-bit or EasySIGN 64-bit installer required for the target environment.

• We recommend using the default EasySIGN installation folder unless another location is necessary.

• If EasySIGN was previously installed, languages from the previous installation may also be installed again.

• FORCE_INSTALL allows installation to continue when the software licence has expired. It does not guarantee that EasySIGN can start without a valid licence.

• Installation without the wizard does not automatically guarantee compatibility with every endpoint management platform or deployment configuration.

• Administrators should validate their own installation sequence, permissions, detection rules, and deployment tooling.

7. ADD_REGFILE safety warning

Use ADD_REGFILE only if you understand .reg files and Windows Registry changes.

Important:

• The contents of registry files are not validated by the EasySIGN installer.

• A registry file can change EasySIGN or Windows configuration.

• Each .reg file must be located in the same folder as the setup files.

• ADD_REGFILE can be included more than once when multiple registry files must be added.

• Back up relevant settings before applying registry changes.

• Do not use untrusted or unverified .reg files.
